Avèle Polo Cup – By Nacho Figueras

The inaugural Avéle Polo Cup took place at Los Establos de Cap Cana, featuring the renowned Argentine player Nacho Figueras, in support of the Juan Luis Guerra Foundation.

Nacho, hailed as one of the most celebrated polo players of all time, competed alongside his team against the Avèle – Imperial Polo Team in a thrilling tournament. Additionally, an autographed polo jersey worn by Nacho during the event was auctioned off for charity.

The opening ceremony of the tournament, marked by the ceremonial first serve, was conducted by engineer Dino Campagna, President of St. Regis Cap Cana. He emphasized the honor of having Nacho Figueras present, stating, «It’s a privilege for us to host such an internationally renowned figure in a sport as distinctive as polo. Nacho’s presence underscores St. Regis’s commitment to sports, luxury, and exclusive experiences.»
